A Week With A Vintage, Retro Chic ~ Day One

Hey blogglets!
It's the first day of 'A Week With A Vintage, Retro Chic' and I am VERY excited. As you're going to spend a week with moi, I thought I'd share some stuff about me with you.

But first, I'll show you what I'm wearing. I haven't really focused on my usual style but I'd like to think it still reflects a bit of me in it. Plus, I had my hair cut this morning! You can see before and after below. It was trimmed and shaped around my face as you might have noticed.

Before...
After!
With that out of the way, I'll tell you a bit more about yours truly.
1. I am a dancer. I do ballet twice a week and I've had lessons since I was five and I'm grade five as well. I'm taking my exam in June.

 2. I love taking pictures. I'm an avid photographer and I have been since I was about 11, when I got my trusty little Coolpix for Christmas.
My Nikon Coolpix S3100

My camera case
3. I play piano. I started last year, passed my grade 1 exam with Merit and am currently learning my grade 2 pieces, scales and allegros.
My keyboard and piano books

4. I am pretty much addicted to shopping. This will probably not come as a shock to any of you groovsters but just to let you know.

And that's a wrap, folks! What do you think of the first post? Do you want to hear more about my photography? I think these posts'll get better with time, and there'll be a massive fashion buy post tomorrow when I sashay off shopping with A Spot Of Glamour's very own Abby! So for now, Twitter (@IttyBittyNatNat) Bloglovin' and of course, a cheeky follow couldn't hurt.

A Scarf In The Hand Is Worth 5 Different Looks

That's right, party people.
Today's post is about scarves, my favourite thing (apart from chocolate and you guys of course!) in the world so I thought I'd blog about them. In this post I'll give you 5 different ways to wear a scarf, Natalie style!

Look 1 - Wear It As A Cape
Well why not guys? The superheros can do it so why can't we? This is a cute, flirty look, which I use when I'm lounging around the house really.
Look 2 - Wear It Around Your Neck
It's what they were invented for so for once...I'm gonna go with the crowd and put a 'normal' look in here. It does look pretty awesome. I find the best way to do it is double it up, put it around your neck and thread one side through the looped side. Simple, but cute.

Look 3 - Wear It As A Belt
This is a very relaxed, boho look and I love it. If you can't find a belt that goes, or you need something to tie your outfit together, grab a scarf and tie it around you waist or loop it through the belt holes on your item.

Look 4 - Wear It As A Necktie
This can be great with long or short scarves depending on the look you're going for. I took a long scarf and tied it in a bow, but you can also so this with a short one and pull it to the side for a more sophisticated look.

Look 5 - Wear It As A Sarong
With Spring fast approaching, more and more people will be heading out to the beach and beach chic is one of my favourite looks. Sling a scarf around your waist, tie it at your side and Bob's your uncle.

So that's it for today. Tomorrow is the start of my very own fashion week, which is very exciting! You'll be hearing from be every day, Monday to Friday about what I'm wearing and how to achieve my look. In the meantime, contact me on Twitter (@IttyBittyNatNat) and follow this blog direct or on Bloglovin' (>>>>)

February Lust List

I know, I know. I'm not supposed to be posting till Sunday! Well with my fashion diary coming up on Monday and me posting Monday to Friday and all I thought I'd get some practice in. Plus, I love talking to you guys and there's some serious lust for fashion over here.

My Dream Rucksack
Yeah, another of these was on my other lust list but this one is way gorgeouser and I wantwantwant. Yes please, Mummy!

Ripped Jeans
I'm going to Germany with school in May and I'm going to have to constantly wear this one hoodie so I figured jeans always go with hoodies. Right? And I love shabby chic so yeah! Tick.

Long Skirt (must go with hoodie)
Same as above really. I am a very skirts-and-dresses-and-floral-print-YAY! sort of person so I'm gonna need a skirt.

So that's this month's lust list. Remember...Twitter (@IttyBittyNatNat) Bloglovin' (>>>) and even give this blog a follow.

Valentine's Day Special!

We all know what it is tomorrow - that's right, V. Day as I refer to it as. I know a lot of us get stressy about it if we have guys to impress, so I'm going to share my routine.

1. Shower or bath. This will relax you and freshen you up for the 14th.

2. Use body butter or lotion. This will make your skin smoothy-smooth and smell like heaven.

3. Dry/curl/straighten your hair. Keeping your hair in tip-top condition is key to impress.

4. Decide on your outfit/hair style. This isn't much use to me as I am at school but your outfit is the first thing that special someone will notice.

5. Prepare any jewelry or perfume. Smelling good will entice the guys!

6. Get a good night's sleep. Beauty sleep will help you feel refeshed on the day.

7. Don't forget their present!

Just my regime really!
Remember...Twitter (@IttyBittyNatNat) Bloglovin' (Over there >>>) and be sure to follow.

Bye, and good luck <3

Hippie Chic Meets Boho Girl

Blogglings! Blogglets!

I was feeling hippie this morning so I was like, why not? Go hippie, girlfriend and so I did. Today's post will include a tutorial on how to create hippie hair, and pictures of my interpretation of 'Hippie Chic meets Boho Girl'.

Braided Ribbon Hair
I love hippie-y braids so I decided to have a stab for myself and will now show you how to do very simple braided ribbon hair.

Step 1: Take a strand of hair from the from one side of your head and braid it. Do the same to the other side.
Step 2: Get some ribbon and wrap it around the elastic.
Step 3: Put the remaining ribbon in a bow.
Step 4: You're done!

My Completed Outfit

My Beauty Essentials - the Body Shop

It's a Body Shop special! I've got some free samples of mine that I'll be testing, but more on that later. First, I'll be telling you groovsters all about my Body Shop essentials!

I had to get the Chocomania range in here somehow. I got some shower cream (pic 2, right) from a mate at Christmas and I'm addicted! It makes your skin smooth and lush and you smell divine beyond belief. Trust me, great buy.

Staying in the lotion-y department, I also have some Strawberry body lotion (pic 2, left) - nearly empty now! It makes you smell fruity and flirty and dayum, am I addicted!

Last of all (I'm not a beaty person) is their Tea Tree Blemish Gel (pic 1) Miracle stuff, no lie. My mum recommended it to me and let me tell you - it actual saved my life. I started using it about 2 weeks ago and my Face Resident is checking out! Thank you Body Shop!

Finally, my reviews (pic 3).
Lychee Blossom Body Butter - this smelled brilliant. Fresh, very Spring, which is coming up. It also made my skin soft.
Vitamin E Lotion - just your average lotion, but this simple little buy does wonders for your skin.
Hemp Hand Protector - does what it say on the tin, really. Is brilliant for your hands, but the smell isn't nice, really. Not bad, but not my thing.

So that's it for today. Remember, Twitter (@ittybittynatnat) and Bloglovin' (name of the blog).

Love, Natalie x
