Top 5 Favourite Hairstyles

30th post, chicas!
I'm back after a day's rest. I didn't know what to do with myself yesterday, so I planned today's blog with is going to be tip-top. I'll show you my top 5 favourite, simple hairstyles.

1. Fishtail Braid
This is one of my favourites because it looks amazing, and is pretty easy to do:
Split your hair in to two. Take a small amount of hair from one half, and transfer it in to the other half. Do the same on the other side. Keep doing this until you run out out hair and secure with a hair elastic.

2. Little Braid
I wear this all the time to school - it keeps the hair out of your eyes but you can still have it down. I didn't braid the two sections of hair but you can:
Take a small section of hair from either side of your face. Take them to the back of your head and secure with an elastic. You could add flower/bow pins as I did. Simple!

3. Top Knot
This hairstyle is like, so cool. I want to wear this more but it's very conspicuous, so y'know. Here's how to do it:
Sweep your hair in to a ponytail on top of your head. (optional) Curl in to bun and secure with pins. (or) add donut. Spread hair across donut. Add hair elastic. Muss up the bun. Wind the remaining hair around the base of the bun. Add flowers/bows if necessary.

4. Pigtails
This look is so sweet and is guaranteed to make you look young again! It's simple:
Make two, low ponytails either side of your face. Add any accessories and you're good!

5. Heidi Braids
These are pretty wacky, but wonderful. Here's how to acheive Heidi heaven:
Split your hair in two. Braid both sections. Wind them around your head and pin in place. Add accessories.

So I hope you enjoyed this post. I'll be back Wednesday, but in the meantime you can contact me on Twitter (@IttyBittyNatNat) and even follow. See you!

A Week With A Vintage, Retro Chic ~ Final Day

A day in York, lil' chicas!
We were going to go to the Jorvik Center today but with a bit of a change of events, instead I'll show you pictures I took of York, an ace band called King No-One and a cute, kitsch shop called Little Saffron's...

The Pictures

Little Saffron's

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.

They look like fruit, they smell like fruit, but they're actually handmade artisan soaps. Click here to find out more.

King No-One
This is a great indie rock band I discovered on the streets of York. Find them on Twitter (@KingNoOne2) or Facebook.

So that was today's post! Do you guys like York? Have you been there? Today was the last day of 'A Week With A Vintage, Retro Chic' but alas! I will be back, as usual on Wednesdays and Sundays, so see you then! Remember, Twitter (@IttyBittyNatNat) and you could even follow.

A Week With A Vintage, Retro Chic ~ Day Four

Last day tomorrow, little chicas! I'll be doing a day in York so watch out for that.
Loads of people have been doing what's in your bag posts and stuff so I decided to do this, with a retro twist. Introducing, what's in your vanity case?

Okay, so first I'll show you the case itself. It's really gorgeous, I'm not sure where it's from but I got it Christmas 2010 and have loved it since. It's been a bit neglected recently, until I decided to bring it along to my sleepover with Abby (Day Two). This is really what I took to her place, but I'd pretty much take it to anywhere to sleep.

As you can see, it's a floral design. Very vintage, retro aand most certainly chic. I feel like a proper 70's lady carrying this baby around!

Now on to what's inside. First of all, my Batiste. This is perfect because if my hair needs sprucing up I can't exactly run and get a shower, so I spray this on my locks and I'm good to go. Second, it had to be my Charlie Pink. This is a divine scent and a must for my vintage vanity. Then we have some hair stuff, hairpins in case I want a bun, a hair band and a head band in case I just want my hair out of my eyes. Last and by no means least, my earrings for the next day and a bangle to accessorize my outfit. And that, my little chicas is what's in my vanity.

A Week With A Vintage, Retro Chic ~ Day Two

Blogglings!
I know I've already posted today but as it was a guest post I guessed I should probs do a post myself. Me and Abby herself went shopping today, so I have some ace buys for you today. A dress, sneakers, top, sunnies and clips. Exciting!

Rocking with my sunnies!

Sneakers, Primark (£3.00), Sunnies, New Look (£5.00), Flower clips, Claire's (£3.50)
I fell in love with these bug sunnies as soon as I saw them and took them straight to the counter, simple as. With the sneakers, it was Abby who persuaded me. I couldn't leave them behind at such a tantalising price! I'd been looking for some flower clips for ages and these cute little things were charming.

Top, Tammy BHS (£14.00)

Dress, New Look (£10.00), Leggings, George at ASDA (£?)

I'd seen the Butterfly Peace Sign top at Tammy, BHS before when I found it before and I was delighted. It was really hippy-y, very me. The dress from New Look was an impulse buy, really. I loved it, didn't want to lose it so I bought it.

So that's it for today. What did you think? What are your favourite buys from this post? Speak tomorrow, but in the mean time you can contact me via Twitter (@IttyBittyNatNat) and follow direct or via Bloglovin'.

Hey guys!
Me and Natalie went shopping today and I picked up a couple of things. I didn't want to spend to much because I'm buying a lipstick from MAC on Friday (EEK!)

Barry M Nail Paint: 317 Blue Moon and 308 Berry l/c
I didn't have any pastel nail varnish and as there was a 2 for £5 offer on in Superdrug I thought it'd be the perfect time to pick a couple up.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush: 010 Santa Rose
This has gotten so much hype and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about!

New Look Grey Hoodie
I had £6 store credit after taking back a gift that was too small so decided to spend it on this hoodie which was £10 in the sale! I was looking for a new one as my blue one has gone bobbly on the sleeves (if you get what I'm saying?)

That's everything I bought today. Thank you so much Natalie for letting me guest post here and, if you haven't already, I suggest you click the follow button!
